McAllister Project

(2021)
This 15 member project is a collaborative effort between the Savannah College of Art and Design and the Fort McAllister Museum.  The deliverables include 13 redesigned wall panels, a 3 foot model of the USS Montauk, and 3D models of ships and weapons - made in Maya and Z-brush.

My Roles

Project Lead:

  • Headed communications between the State of Georgia, Fort McAllister, and the SCAD team.

  • Made sure that all members had the resources they needed access to.  For example, I recruited professional sound designers and professional re-enactors for capturing a cannon firing over water.

  • Wrote well researched documents on the battle of the CSS Nashville vs the USS Montauk for complete team cohesiveness and historical accuracy in all models.

Producer:

  • Ran meetings detailing work progress with an Agile format.

  • Acted as the final pass for all 3D Art, Illustrations, and panel work.

  • Contacted material producers such as Kiliken Printers and SCAD finances to create all deliverables.

Writer and Designer:

  • Wrote scripts for a future deliverable- a 3D reendition of the battle of the USS Montauk and CSS Rattlesnake.

  • Led design process for the 13 wall panels to be hung in the museum, made in Adobe Illustrator.
